Our Custom Cabinet Process

Planning custom kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, or built-in storage in San Jose, CA or the Bay Area? Gomez Woodworking guides you from the first conversation through cabinet design, production, installation, and final adjustments. Our approach puts clear communication, thoughtful planning, and quality workmanship first. Here is what to expect when working with our team.

1. Consultation & Measurements

Tell us about your kitchen remodel, bathroom vanity, or custom cabinetry project in San Jose or the Bay Area. Share your project location, plans, photos, storage needs, and preferred style. We review the information with you and arrange measurements or an on-site discussion as needed.

2. Your Cabinet Estimate

Using the project details, we prepare an estimate for your review. Cabinet dimensions, materials, finishes, hardware, and installation requirements help define the scope and price. We discuss the details with you before moving forward.

3. Cabinet Design & Drawings

After you approve the estimate, we develop cabinet drawings so you can visualize the layout before production. This stage helps define cabinet sizes, appliance openings, drawer arrangements, and other details for your kitchen cabinets, bathroom cabinetry, or built-in storage.

4. Design Review & Approval

We review the drawings together and discuss any revisions needed to suit your space and preferences. Check dimensions, storage features, door styles, and finishes carefully. Changes to the approved design may affect pricing and scheduling.

5. Production & Scheduling

Once the design is finalized and approved, your custom cabinets are scheduled for production. We discuss current lead times and coordinate the next steps with you. Let us know about remodel deadlines early so we can plan around your project requirements.

6. Cabinet Installation

After production and inspection, we coordinate installation of your custom cabinetry. Our team fits the cabinets to the approved layout and checks alignment and operation, bringing your kitchen, bathroom, or storage design into the finished space.

7. Final Adjustments & Review

As your project approaches completion, contact us to coordinate final adjustments. We review cabinet doors, drawers, and hardware with you and discuss any items that need attention so your cabinetry functions as intended.

8. Enjoy Your Custom Cabinets

Your new cabinets are ready to become part of everyday life. Thank you for considering Gomez Woodworking for custom kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, and woodworking in San Jose, CA and the Bay Area.
